Weather and fuels permitting, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center (Univ. of Texas at Austin) will conduct a series of prescribed burns (12-unites, 80.76-acres) beginning the week of December 8th, 2025. The project is in support of the Center’s ongoing research and land management goals to improve plant diversity and promote fire adapted landscapes. Our objective is to focus on vegetation management within our 24-yr research project and conservation lands, which are adjacent to City of Austin Water Utility and MoPac Expressway.
