Annual Meeting and Board Election
The Circle C Homeowners Association will hold its Annual Meeting and Board Elections tomorrow, Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 6:30pm at the Community Center (7817 La Crosse Ave) and also via Zoom. To join via Zoom, click here. We encourage you to attend the Annual Meeting. There are three ways to cast your vote/ballot in the board election.

- Cast your vote through the voting website. You will need your "Unique" voting code which is located on the front page of your 2025 semi-annual statement. If you have misplaced your statement, please contact the financial office at 512-451-9901 for your "Unique" voting code.
- Return your paper ballot which is located on the back of your 2025 semi-annual statement.
- Vote in person at the meeting.
The association's Annual Meeting is the best opportunity for you to learn about this year's events and get caught up on everything happening in your community. Here are a few agenda items and meeting activities you won't want to miss:

- Meet your board members and HOA staff.
- Get an update on all current and future scheduled projects.
- Review the approved budget, and hear the association's treasurer explain how your assessments are being used and the reserves are being invested.

Pruning Guidelines for Prevention of Oak Wilt
Oak wilt, cause by the fungus Ceratocystis fagacearum, is the most destructive disease affecting live oaks and red oaks in Central Texas. Most of the tree mortality results from tree-to-tree spread of the pathogen through interconnected or grafted root systems, once an oak wilt center becomes established. New infection centers begin when beetles carry oak wilt fungal spores from infected red oaks to fresh, open wounds on healthy oaks. Wounds include any damage caused by wind, hail vehicles, construction, squirrels, birds or pruning. Research has shown that both oak will fungal mats on infected red oaks and insects that carry oak wilt spores are most prevalent in the spring. Below is a brief description of how you can reduce the risk of fungal spread when pruning.

- Always paint fresh wounds on oaks, including pruning cuts and stumps, with would dressing or latex paint immediately after pruning or live tree removal at all times of the year.
- Clean all pruning tools with 10% bleach solution or Lysol between sites and/or trees.
- If possible, avoid pruning or wounding of oaks during the spring. Reasons to prune in the spring include:
- To accommodate public safety concerns such as hazardous limbs, traffic visibility or emergency utility line clearance.
- To repair damaged limbs (from storms or other anomalies).
- To remove limbs rubbing on a building or rubbing on other branches, and to raise low limbs over a street.
- On sites where construction schedules take precedence, pruning any live tissue should only be done to accommodate required clearance.
- Dead branch removal where live tissue is not exposed.
- Debris from diseased red oaks should be immediately chipped, burned or buried.

Regardless of the reasons or time of year, proper pruning techniques should be used. These techniques include making property pruning cuts and avoiding injurious practices such as topping or excessive crown thinning.

HOA Reminders
|
Holiday Lights & Decorations Reminder - If you haven't already, please remove your holiday lighting and decorations per the rules in the governing documents (lights and decorations should be removed by January 15th). Thank you for your cooperation.

Animal/Pets - Please respect our common areas, your neighbors yards and their person space...remember that pets must be confined to an owner's property and leashed at all times if off property. It is the owner's responsibility per City of Austin code to pick up and properly dispose of pet debris. Additionally, pets noise should not become a nuisance or bother to other property owners. Please do your part to ensure that your pets are welcome members of our community.

Trash and Recycle Cart Storage - We understand that trash and recycle carts can be a challenge to store out of view and we are thankful that most residents are able to comply. Please keep in mind that the neighborhood of Circle C requires that all carts be stored out of view from the street. Storing them int he driveway is not permitted and on the side of your house without screening is not enough. Spring is around the corner and now is the perfect time to plant full shrubbery to screen carts stored on the side of your home. If you are looking for another way to screen your carts from view, be sure to submit your project plans for review to the Architectural Committee. The City of Austin requires that carts at the curb by 6:30am the morning of your pick up date (Monday for all Circle C) and put away no later than 10:00pm that same day.

- Do not park within 15-feet of a fire hydrant.
- Do not park within 20-feet of a crosswalk at an intersection.
- Do not park within 30- feet of a yield sign, stop sign or traffic signal.
- Do not park blocking a sidewalk with your vehicle.

Irrigation Leak in Circle C? Please Report It!
|
If you notice an irrigation leak or a sprinkler head off in a common area and/or water in the street, please report it directly to the CCHOA office at 512-288-8663 or info@circlecranch.info. Please do not turn off the water or attempt to repair it yourself. This can cause additional damage to the irrigation system. When reporting an irrigation leak, please provide as much information on the location and cross streets. Thank you for your cooperation.
