Weather and fuels permitting, the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center (Univ. of Texas at Austin) will conduct a prescribed burn (3 units, 20-acres) on September 9th. The project is in support of the Center’s land management goals to improve plant diversity and promote fire adapted landscapes. Our objective is to focus on vegetation management along our perimeter with the Wildflower Park neighborhood and within our highly visible savanna meadow.
