Brody McKinley has been involved in the Aquatics Industry for over 25 years. His experience includes working with fitness clubs, city and municipal public pools, open water, country clubs, HOA managed neighborhood pools and University Aquatic Centers. Mr. McKinley began his career lifeguarding in the fitness club field. He also instructed several aquatic programs including swim lessons, water aerobics, and senior arthritis classes. He quickly became involved with American Red Cross Lifeguard Training. Mr. McKinley’s passion for Aquatics continued on into college. There he worked at the Miami University Aquatics Recreation Center while also managing the lifeguard staff at a local country club. After moving to Austin, Mr. McKinley continued in the country club field. It was here that he began implementing his own programs in the areas of lifeguard management, training, emergency planning and preparedness, swim lessons, and other Aquatic Programming. He then moved into the commercial pool management industry. He acted as Aquatics Director, managing a Commercial Pool and Lifeguard Management company, before founding his own company. Mr. McKinley holds current American Red Cross certifications at the Instructor Level for Lifeguard Instructing (LGI), First Aid Instructor, CPR/AED Instructor for the Professional Rescuer, Administering Emergency Oxygen Instructor, and Blood Borne Pathogen Response Instructor. He is a Lifeguard Instructor Trainer (LGIT) and Water Safety Instructor Trainer (WSIT). He is a Certified Pool Operator (CPO). He is also certified in Open Water SCUBA. When Brody isn’t at one of the Circle C Aquatics Facilities, he is spending time with his wife, Lindsey, and his daughter, Lily. Brody has been working for Circle C since 2012.

Amanda Hartman has been working at Circle C Aquatics since March of 2009. She is the Program Coordinator as well as Swim Lesson Instructor for Circle C Swim Center. She swam competitively for over 13 years, competed in the high school state championships and the USA Swimming state meet in her home state of New Mexico. Amanda has been teaching private swim lessons as well as stroke technique to swimmers of all ages for many years and has been offering group and private swim instruction here at Circle C since spring of 2009, consistently receiving positive reviews from the parents of her students. Amanda is interested in taking her instruction further in the future and is working towards a career in teaching, specifically teaching English as a second language overseas. During the off season, she has spent time teaching in Thailand, India and most recently Africa, and is already planning her next trip abroad. Amanda has been working for Circle C since 2009.

Robert was born in Brooklyn, NY and moved to Austin with his family in 1968. He attended McCallum and Reagan High Schools in Austin as well as the University of Texas at Austin. Robert grew up in the swimming pool industry, going to job sites with his dad when he was a young boy and learning the tricks of the trade as he gained knowledge in the installation and operations of swimming pools. He worked as a swimming pool maintenance and repair technician throughout high school and college and after graduating, was hired as the general manager of Hill Country Pools in Austin, TX. After six years as a GM, Robert went to work at Golfsmith in Austin as a sales representative and was quickly promoted to purchasing agent where he was responsible for purchasing and distributing golf equipment and tools all over the world. He left Golfsmith after 10 years to pursue his passion of coaching volleyball. Robert started a successful USA sanctioned volleyball club in Dripping Springs and at the same time, was hired as the Head of Maintenance for The Springs Fitness Center. Robert was hired by Circle C Swim Center in the fall of 2008 as the Facility Coordinator. When asked what he does at Circle C Swim Center he simply answers, “I keep the facility safe and clean and the pool looking good.” When asked what he likes most about his job he says, “the vast diversity of what I do and the daily process of task identification and completion.” Robert is married and lives in Dripping Springs with his wife. He is currently the Varsity Volleyball Coach at Austin Waldorf School and is an avid outdoorsman. In his free time Robert can usually be found on a lake or river in his kayak wetting a line and soaking up the sun or just out somewhere enjoying nature. He is a key volunteer for Special Olympics as a volleyball official for their yearly competition. His personal motto for life is, “It’s all good.” Robert has been working at Circle C since 2008.


 Select Swim Team Head Coach: jennieJennie Lou Leeder

A Certified USA Swimming Coach, Jennie Lou is an ASCA Level Two Coach and is entering her 29th year of coaching and teaching swimming. In addition, she was named District Girls and Boys Coach of the Year, and League Coach of the Year. Jennie Lou coached District Championship teams, Regional Qualifiers, A champs, TAGS and Sectional swimmers. She has been the Aquatics Director at Llano; Alamo Area Aquatics Association age group, senior team and dry-land coach; WAVE age-group coach; she started the Northwest High School team; Thomas Jefferson High School head coach; Aquatics Director at Fair Oaks country club; and Cedar Park Swimming, age group coach for three teams. Jennie Lou is passionate about swimming correctly and believes all swimmers can achieve technically correct strokes. She believes in setting short-term and long-term goals that push swimmers to achieve their personal best times while enjoying the water. Jennie Lou graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Physical Education; and Masters in Athletic Administration from Ohio University. She enjoys all outside sports especially swimming and golf. Currently, she is training for her 3rd half-marathon and first backpacking trip. Jennie Lou has been working at Circle C since 2014.
