For those that attended the Board meeting on April 30th, you were able to learn about the Stratus Project located along along MoPac, between La Crosse Ave and the Valor school. Stratus has full property development rights per their agreement with the City of Austin to build a 650,000 sf of General Commercial Services. They are seeking a zoning change to permit Class A+ residential uses, rather than commercial/office uses, including multifamily, senior living, and townhouses, with the ability to develop neighborhood shops and services.
Key points for the CCHOA
- South Bay will not be extended to MoPac. There will be no access through South Bay to the site, except for walking trails.
- No access from Dahlgreen, except for emergency vehicle access.
- Building setbacks as negotiated for the commercial tract and required by the tract covenants.
- The revised development will utilize approximately 9% of the 190-acre tract.
